Little Muff started the way most good things do: as an obsession that got slightly out of hand. Freya had been buying records since she was fifteen — Factory 12"s from car-boots, spiritual jazz from Piccadilly, warped house reissues off Discogs at 2am — and eventually there were too many crates in the flat to pretend it was still a hobby.

So she opened a shop. A small one, in Manchester, run by one person who actually listens to every record before it hits the shelves. No algorithms. No suggested-for-you. No middle-manager telling us to stock the top ten.

What you find here is what we love: independent artists, tiny labels, spiritual jazz next to UK garage next to Detroit techno next to whatever's just come out on Bandcamp and made us stop what we were doing. Physical music, chosen by a human, packaged with care.

Manchester made this shop. The city's whole music culture — Factory, the Haçienda, the Northern Soul all-nighters, NTS North, every scrappy warehouse rave — is baked into the shelves. We stock the classics because they matter, and the new stuff because it's how those classics started too.
